In May 2023 we welcomed a little girl, Wren Margaux, to our family, so Georgina (Chef Patron) has stepped back from the stove (only slightly, it’s hard to keep her away!) and will for now focus on the menu for The Eddy, Catering for Seraux and also our Tasting Evenings which you can read more about on the Tasting Evenings page.

What is The Eddy?
In order to maintain the high quality of our food while Georgina focuses on her young family, we simplified the menu so that it consists of some our most popular and classic dishes - such as oysters, lobster, crab, and our famous Fruits de Mer. Whilst the dishes may not be as intricate as customers of the Millside have become used to which gained our 2 AA Rosette award, we created The Eddy as a more relaxed version of the menu and we will maintain the same high standards - seasonal and local ingredients cooked to perfection.
Did you know, The Eddy by Millside is named after its river reference… a water current can pinch off sections of a river and create circular currents of water called an eddy, which we felt was appropriate to our current flux of change here.
The Eddy will run as a separate current but in the same flow of Millside and sitting with the sound of the River Lym outside the door, couldn’t be more apt.
